Kyle “El Guante” Myhre interviewed me for Culture Bully about this blog. Guante did a series on spoken word artists for Culture Bully, and I got to represent the rookie face of what we’ve got going on here.
Guante asks really insightful questions. Check out the interview at http://www.culturebully.com/interview-with-cole-“inky”-sarar.
mnartists.org just sent out a call for submissions for 2009, having consolidated their What Light poetry series and their miniStories flash fiction series into mnLIT. You have to be an MN resident and submission deadline is April 30th.
Looks like there are options for publicity, recordings and readings, the poetry contest looks for up to three short (maximum 50 lines or 300 words each), previously unpublished poems, for possibility of publication (20 winners) with the 3 grand prize winners receiving a paid commission.

Next week I’ll be in Detroit for the Women of the World poetry slam. I’m trying to get some of these overdue posts done, so it may be old stuff, it might be a show that I’m seeing Sunday night, Monday night, or Tuesday night, or it might be late. Hope to get some photos and video up of WOWps events- I’m not sure if they’re going to post updates on the website, but wow.poetryslam.com is the main website for WOWps.
